Abstract

 
Though Obama's initial focus , once he took power, was on structural transformation of the U.S. public diplomacy especially in regard to the Islamic world, and made use of such expressions as new public diplomacy, dialog-based diplomacy, culture-centered diplomacy, network-oriented diplomacy, and multi stakeholder diplomacy, it all turned out, however, to be a mere rhetoric in the manner of his predecessors aiming at safeguarding Zionism, dominating the Middle-East's oil resources and economy, and securing America's national interests.
This article, while adopting the theoretical framework of new public diplomacy, tries to survey the concept, dimensions and methods of America's public diplomacy in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. The question is, \"What model the U.S. public diplomacy has followed after September 11?\" The article concludes with this answer: The U.S. once again has remained loyal to its traditional models of public diplomacy which is a unilateral one even after September 11. It is a propagandist endeavor to induce the international public opinion of recognizing the U.S. political, economic and security interests
