Formulation of Religious Communication Pattern in Defensive Thought of Imam Khomeini

Abstract

The goal in this study is formulating the pattern of formatting religious communication due to Imam Khomeini's defensive thought. The method here is qualitative research and analyzing the content by using Atride and Sterling content network. Statistical population in current study includes all speeches and written works of Imam Khomeini, published from 1963 to 1984 named as Sahifeye Nour and Sahifeye Imam. The result shows that in defensive thought of Imam Khomeini the main orientation of defending Islamic society covers not only official organizations such as army and IRGC but also revolutionary people in a way that religious connections and using media made them invincible against martial and non-martial invasion like cultural invasion and soft war. One of inclusive concepts in communicative pattern of Imam is ontology. In inclusive concept of religious communication, originated from monotheism ontology, meanwhile believes in divine justice and recommends emphasizes press freedom and criticizes liberty at communication era. Although inclusive concept of religious communication plays significant role in defensive thought of Imam but beside the forth element of society (press) and three important elements including Executive, judiciary and legislation powers, civil entities made by entity development, derived from defense necessity that should be a supplementary to forth element in defensive thought of Imam.
