Abstract

Nowadays, a large part of our life has been covered by the media, and compared to the past, the world of today's human life has undergone extensive and dramatic changes. Meanwhile, the role of media in identifying people and social groups has always been one of the concerns of thinkers and experts in this field. Undoubtedly, the way and extent of influence of different types of media in this field is different, but it seems that media such as video games have a greater impact on human identity and action due to the "intensity of interaction and immersion" as well as relatively high consumption, especially among teenagers and young people. The increasing attention of researchers and rulers to the computer and console games industry can be explained from this point of view.

In the following article, while using the theory of impersonation and the concept of transreality in Baudrillard's thought, and by rereading the place of the power of imagination in the construction of identity based on transcendental wisdom, an attempt has been made to understand the prominent role of this power in the process of consuming social media and especially digital games and how Explain its influence on the identity of the actors. At the end, these steps are explained in an example of video games in a four-cycle cycle (checking basic needs, dependence in the game, fantasy and identity conflict) and an example of social networks.
