چکیده

مقاله حاضر سعی در تعریف ادبیات عامه‌پسند و ویژگی‌های آن داشته و نویسنده در تلاش است تا ادبیات عامه‌پسند را با توجه به ویژگی‌های آن به‌مثابه یک گونۀ ادبی معرفی نموده و ویژگی‌ها و تمایزات ادبیات عامه‌پسند ایرانی را مشخص نماید. در این مقاله ضرورت بررسی ادبیات عامه‌پسند توسط محققان علوم اجتماعی به‌عنوان گونۀ ادبیِ متأثر و اثرگذار  بر فرهنگ جامعه، بیان شده و نویسنده با تبیین این ادبیات در چارچوب نظری مفهوم فرهنگ عامه‌پسند و فرهنگ متعالی، به معرفی دو دیدگاه مرسوم در قبال این نوع ادبی می‌پردازد و با توجه به موارد سلبی و ایجابی نسبت به وجود و گسترش ادبیات عامه‌پسند به معرفی رویکرد سومی برای رفع نواقص و کاستی‌های موجود ادبیات عامه‌پسند و شناسایی و تقویت نقاط قوت و کاربردی آن در جهت بهره‌گیری از ظرفیت‌های این نوع ادبی اشاره می‌کند. همچنین، گونه ادبی ادبیات عامه‌پسند را پیشنهاد داده و تبیین می‌شود که وجود تعهد به ارزش‌های دینی و انسانی در تمامی گونه‌های ادبی و از جمله ادبیات عامه‌پسند امکان‌پذیر بوده و با داشتن این ویژگی، ترویج ادبیات عامه‌پسند ضروری به نظر می‌رسد.

This article tries to offer a definition of popular literature and its characteristics, with the purpose of distinguishing it as a separate genre. The necessity of surveying this genre, which is both affecting and being affected by society’s culture, is then emphasized, and by defining the subject within the broader theoretical framework of popular culture and sublime culture, two typical views about this kind of literature are introduced, and by considering the positive and negative attitudes towards the existence and expansion of that in the society, a third attitude is presented which aims at eliminating the existing shortcomings on the one hand, and recognizing and stimulating the strong and practical features of it on the other, in order to benefit from its capacities. Furthermore, a new dimension is proposed to be added to this type of literature i.e. commitment in its human and religious meaning which could contribute further to the necessity of propagating it in the society.
