This study aimed to identify and analyze the factors influencing increased participation of female student teachers in religious programs at Bint al-Huda Sadr Campus, Rasht. Recognizing the importance of religious programs for individual and social development, this research sought a deeper understanding of the mechanisms driving this type of involvement. The study employed a survey approach, comprehensively examining the individual, social, and environmental factors impacting students' religious participation.
The statistical population consisted of 1,300 female student teachers. To determine the sample size, Cochran's formula was applied, resulting in 297 individuals selected using a stratified random sampling method to ensure adequate representation across various groups. Data were collected via a researcher-made questionnaire comprising 40 Likert-scale questions. The questionnaire's validity was confirmed by expert opinion, and its reliability was satisfactorily established with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.82.
Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics, specifically logistic regression, with the aid of SPSS statistical software. The findings revealed that three categories of factors most significantly influenced student teachers' religious participation: individual factors (personal time management and the use of modern technologies), social factors (the role of peers, family, and religious groups), and environmental factors (program attractiveness, university cultural policies, and the alignment of programs with student teachers' actual needs and interests). This conceptual model can serve as a practical guide for policymakers and cultural managers aiming to effectively enhance religious participation within university settings.
